What do you think is the faster stroke- breaststroke or butterfly?

i dont know anyone who can swim a faster breast than fly...fly is the fastest stroke other than free, and might even be faster than free if you get the right swimmer....theres a girl on my team who goes 1:06 in the fly and 1:09 in the free...definitely fly|||breast is one of the slowest, butterfly is one of the hardest. if you had to decide between the two-butterfly...|||actually, to the person above...


breast stroke is one of the most difficult and tiring if you do it right.


and butterfly isnt as difficult, if you do it right.





BUT, to answer your question. Butterfly is usually faster then breast stroke.|||It depends on your relative proficiency. My butterfly is so bad that I'm sure my breaststroke is faster. But a competent fly swimmer will beat a competent breaststroker any time.
